Q: How long are the classes and what will my child be learning?

A: The classes are 30 minutes each and are structured around stretching, ball handling, dribbling, shooting, learning a new skill, and finally a game or drill incorporating the new skill. The new skills are different for each class but generally follow the pattern of more in depth dribbling skills, passing, catching, rebounding, shooting form, defense, walking while dribbling, and an overall skills day where they incorporate multiple skills learned throughout the session. We have different games and drills that the coaches can choose from depending on the children's age and level of skill so that the sessions are tailored to the children and so that no two sessions will be the same. Our goal is to teach the children the fundamentals and continually build on those skills with different games and drills.

Q: Do you give refunds?

A: We do not offer refunds for any reason. In the event of a cancellation due to inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances by Pivotal Training, a makeup class will be offered. In extreme circumstances, determined by a Pivotal Training officer, we will offer a next session credit to parents. If a makeup day is offered by Pivotal Training and your school will not allow it, we will consider the session complete and no monies will be refunded to parents. Session days must be approved by director before the start of session. Parents must also ensure their child can attend all classes before enrolling. No refunds or credits to parents if their child does not attend voluntarily or involuntarily.

Q: How do I pay?

A:  All payments must be submitted for the entire amount. No partial payments or payment promises. If you do not pay, your child does not participate. Payments will be due the day before the first class. We use the online platform Homeroom to register and collect payments.

Q: Where do you hold the classes?

A: All classes are held at your child's school either in the play area or a designated indoor location. Time and day are determined by your school director. This is super convenient for parents.

Q: Do you offer classes outside of preschools?

A: We currently hold classes through the park and recreation departments at both Union City and Hayward.

Q: Do you offer birthday party services?

A: Although not advertised, we do offer fun packages for parties. Contact us at rragland@pivottrain.com for more information.
